FAQS
Who are these classes for?
Adults! Real-life humans! People who maybe haven’t danced since they were 8… or ever. All bodies, all backgrounds, all rhythms (including the “help, I have none”) are welcome here.
Do I need to already be flexible or in shape?
Nope. Think of this as where you get those things, not where you show up already having them. We build toward strength, flow, and confidence at a pace that feels good.
What should I wear?
Clothes you can move in. Leggings, shorts, tanks, tees. Think: I could stretch, sweat, and possibly crawl on the floor in this.
For heels/floorwork classes: knee pads are your new best friend.
Speaking of shoes… do I need special ones?
Not for most classes! You can go barefoot or wear sneakers. PLEASE AVOID BLACK BOTTOM SHOES!! Our floors are white and we tryin’ keep em purty.
For heels classes: choose a supportive dance heel — something with a strap, not your Saturday night stilettos from 2014.
I feel shy/awkward/nervous. Is that normal?
Oh yes. Everyone’s first class feels like a middle school slow dance. But the vibe here is supportive, encouraging, and zero-judgment. You’ll warm up to it fast — promise.
What does a typical class look like?
Usually something like:
• Warm-up + vibes activated
• Technique/skill-building (in a fun way, not a drill-sergeant way)
• Choreography or guided movement play
• Cool down + tiny celebration that you showed up
Do I have to perform?
Nope! Performance opportunities are available at our sister studio Dance Lab, but totally optional. If the idea of being on stage makes you feel like a star? Great. If it makes you want to melt into the wallpaper? Also great.
Can I drop in or do I need to sign up ahead of time?
You can drop in, but we recommend reserving your spot so you’re guaranteed a space (and so we can expect you and get all stoked to see your name on the list)!
What’s your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made at least 2 hours before class to avoid being charged.
Is this space inclusive?
Absolutely. All genders, bodies, and humans are welcome. We do not tolerate unkindness, judgment, or weird energy.
Can I film class?
We typically save filming for the end of class if you want to capture your magic moment. No filming during instruction unless everyone in the room gives a thumbs-up.
